Italian Style Meatballs

Italian Meatballs

Pasta covered with tomato sauce and meatballs served in Italian Restaurants all across the United states is actually an American cuisine. In Italy they serve Ragù.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  1. 2 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  2. 2 Garlic Cloves diced
  3. 1 Egg
  4. 1 pound Lean Ground Beef
  5. 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
  6. 1/2 cup Italian Style Breadcrumbs
  7. Oregano
  8. Salt
  9. Pepper
  10. Garlic Powder
  11. Onion Powder

Instructions

  1. Beat Egg
  2. Add Ground Beef, Breadcrumbs, and Parmesan
  3. Mix those four ingredients
  4. Heat Pan (medium heat)
  5. Add Garlic (don’t let it burn)
  6. Start adding Meatballs right away
  7. Sprinkle spices over Meatballs
  8. Brown on all sides should take about 10 minutes.

Notes

I like to put the meatballs in a dutch oven with heated tomato sauce and then start heating the boiling water for the spaghetti. This lets the sauce flavor the meatballs.
