I know it sounds counter-intuitive to make something as important as tomato sauce with only 4 ingredients, but it works. In fact, this is by far the best saucer I have ever had. Even when I worked in a pizza shop, and they added tomato paste and tons of spices like oregano, it didn’t compare to this.
The key to making sure this works is getting the right tomatoes. I usually buy Cento San Marzano whole tomatoes peeled. I learned this from a roommate in college who was Italian. Every Italian thinks their family recipe is the best, and they all have some merit. I have tried tons of recipes, and this is the BEST. Keep it simple and enjoy the great flavor. Light, flavorful, tasty pasta.
Also, note that this is what I used on pizza also.
Print4 Ingredient Tomato Sauce
