Tortellini Caprese Salad

Caprese salad but with tortellini pasta to turn this into a hearty meal.


Units Scale
  1. 10 ounces Tortellini
  2. 1 pint Cherry Tomatoes
  3. 8 ounces Ciliegine Fresh Mozzarella
  4. 2 Tablespoons Fresh Basil
  5. 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  6. 1 Tablespoon Balsamic Vinegar
  7. 1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
  8. 1 Teaspoon Salt
  9. 1 Teaspoon Black Pepper
  10. 1 Teaspoon Basil


  1. Cook Tortellini
  2. Cut Cherry Tomatoes in half.
  3. Slice Fresh Basil
  4. Add spices, Olive Oil, and Balsamic Vinegar
  5. Toss
  6. Rinse Tortellini, so it’s not hot, and toss them into the salad.
  7. Cut cheese balls in half and toss them in last.


Serve this with balsamic vinegar on the side because many guests like a little extra.

I used Ciliegine Fresh Mozzarella cheese balls that are 1/3 ounce in size.
